This supportive workshop is designed to meet the needs of all writers. Find your voice and tell your story!
We will explore various writing genres from fantasy to memoir, from children's literature to adult fiction.

Create your own masterpiece with Glass Fusing. Glass pieces are first cut & layered then fired in a glass kiln.

Creative Techniques Using Your Digital SLR         (age 16+)      
The goal of this workshop is to familiarize students with the operation and features of a digital SLR camera, to
include using both common and advanced features built into the camera. This workshop stresses ways to make
photography more fun and creative. Students will learn about what lenses are best for various types of photography,
creative lighting techniques, and the best ways to save, print and archive their images. Students should bring their
digital camera and instruction manual to class. 3 wks.

This is not a scrapbooking class. Do you have a special story to tell? This class will inspire you to document
an important event, person, family activity or personal experience. You will learn to capture and document
through photography the story you want to share for memories and future generations. Your story through

Portrait Photography and Lighting                (age 16+)      *1 Week Delay*
Learn how to create better portraits by capturing the subjects personality in an artistic image. Class will take
you through the basic art of composition, lighting styles, posing and basic technical aspects of exposure and
color control. Creative technique in post processing workflow with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop will be discussed.
Class includes actual studio setup and shooting with live models and in-class photo assignment along with photo review.
Requires a digital SLR camera and basic knowledge of photography. 5 wks.
