Intermediate Handbuilding - Introductory Techniques    (age 16+)          
Aim to solidify early clay experiences with hands on techniques. Students will be given instruction for
handbuilding projects by demonstration and self guided projects. Handbuilding helps students understand the
properties of clay beyond the wheel. Intermediate wheel option only available to students with at least 2 wheel classes.

An intermediate wheel class with emphasis on gas firing. New glazes formulated for gas firing will be used.

Wheel Thrown Casserole Dishes    (age 16+ )          *CANCELLED*
Have some experience on the potters’ wheel but need a new idea? In this wheel workshop we’ll create
square, rectangular and oval open casseroles suitable for baking lasagna, brownies, etc, by throwing
and altering clay forms. (Bring your tools and bats, and a lunch box). Supplies provided are 1/2 bag of
clay, glazes and firing. No studio time included with this class. Click for Supply List. 2 wks.
