The Mountain View Arts Alliance co-sponsors this event as a way to promote college art students and provide cash prizes to the students who are juried and picked as winners by local art-experienced judges.  MVAA also helps by providing funds to provide stipends to the judges and the gallery opening food.

ELIGIBILITY

Artists who are currently enrolled in a Georgia college or university are invited to submit up to 5 recent works. All work must be completed while in college.   NO HIGH SCHOOL WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED! Slides, actual work or digital images received via email or from a disk will be accepted.  Works will be accepted in the following categories: sculpture, mixed media, painting, drawing and photography.

SLIDES are preferred!

Slides should be mailed to The Art Place and must be received by TBA.  Send slides of no more than five works.  Slides MUST be professional and labeled with Artist’s name, media, size and title.  INCLUDE A SLIDE LIST. If you would like your slides returned by mail, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

ACTUAL WORK

Students are responsible for prompt delivery and pick up of actual work.  Actual art work should be delivered to TAP by date TBA.  Work not accepted for exhibit must be picked up on or by Saturday, April (TBA).  Our weekday office hours are 10:00 am - 5:00 pm.  Please call The Art Place for weekend hours. Each piece must be labeled with artist’s name, media, title and price, as well as a separate list of the same. Work left after the pickup date will be kept at TAP at your own risk.

DIGITAL ENTRIES

Email entries to marselle.harrison-miles@cobbcounty.org. or send files on CD.  All images must be professional and an image list included with the same information as above.  Remember to include all information in the application also. Websites are not accepted entries.

ACCEPTANCE OF WORK

Jurors will select work to be included in this exhibit. If your work is accepted, you will be under a contractual agreement stating all the rules of the exhibit. You may drop off work, Friday - Saturday, May TBA. Call ahead for open hours on the weekend.
